The curtain was brought down on the 2015 season on Sunday with the Finals Day of the Monmouthshire Building Society Youth Cricket Shield.  The Under 11 Final was a perfect way to finish with an exciting game going right up to the last ball, well almost! If you check out the Shield page you will see why I say 'almost'!

You will also find the final League Tables and full details of all our Gwent Young Cricketers matches by clicking on the appropriate buttons.

We are now into the third week of the Monmouthshire Building Society Youth Cricket League and Shield season and the poor weather has led to a pretty slow start but the pace will pick up as the weather improves.  To keep up-to-date with what is happening press the League U15 and Shield U15 buttons above.  Our Gwent Young Cricketers teams have also started their campaigns and you will be able to find out about these from pressing the County Boys 2015 button.

You can't keep a good man down, they say, and Will Bragg (see below) has just scored his second century of the season for Glamorgan CCC - keep it up Will!

Congratulations to Gwent Young Cricketer Will Bragg.  Having led the Glamorgan batters  last summer with over 1,000 runs in first-class cricket, Will began the 2015 season by scoring a career-best 120 against Leicestershire in the first match and has been rewarded with his County Cap.

Congratulations to the seven Gwent Cricketers who have been invited to join the Glamorgan CCC 2014/15 Development Programme which includes seventeen players from across Wales.  They are: Gareth Ansell (Chepstow CC), Rose Evans, Georgia Parfitt, Charlotte Scarborough, Jessica Thornton, Scott Thornton (all Newport CC) and Joe Voke (Sudbrook CC).  Jessica has also been included in the England Women's U15 Development Programme for this winter.  We wish them well on this important step in their cricketing career.
