Carmarthenshire, having been put into bat on a damp wicket, made a good start reaching 39 before Anwen Morgan was out for 25. However, from that point wickets fell at regular intervals, with only Sara Jenkins (20) offering any resistance. The Gwent bowlers all bowled well and Carmarthenshire were eventually all out for 70, Sophie Bignell taking taking 2 wickets for 5 runs.

In reply, Gwent had little difficulty in reaching their required target with Georgia Parfitt scoring an accomplished 28 and, with Rose Evans (14no) and Sophie Bignell (13) offering good support, gained a comfortable 7 wicket victory.

Cardiff & Vale

The highlight of the match was an excellent century by Rose Evans, who shared in a 137 run opening partnership with Georgia Parfitt who scored 38.

The Gwent total was too much for Cardiff & Vale who slumped to 95 all out.  Laura Dixon took 3 wickets and Sian Carrell and Christina Shaw two each as Cardiff & Vale were bowled out with five overs left.

West Glamorgan

216 for 5 Gwent won

by 152runs

Gwent won the toss, decided to bat and scored 21 runs before losing  both openers in quick succession. However, a third wicket partnership of 47 between captain Nicole Reid and Ella Reed (19) helped them to recover to 65 for 3. At this point Charlotte Scarborough joined Nicole Reid in a 97-run partnership, with Charlotte scoring an excellent run a ball 41. Nicole Reid continued to dominate the bowling and, in partnership with Izzy Berry (19), added a further 51 runs, before Reid was out off the last ball for an excellent 83 runs.

In reply. the West Glamorgan batsmen found runs difficult to come by, with only Holly Manning (20no) offering real resistance. The Gwent bowlers all bowled well and West Glamorgan battled well to ensure they were not all out in their 40 overs. Sian Carrel  and Jess Thornton  runs were the pick of the bowlers with two wickets a piece and Gwent had very comfortable victory.

The highlight of the match was an excellent 85-run fifth wicket partnership between Gwent's Georgia Parfitt (60no) and Ella Reed (59). The team's total showed the depth of batting in the team and was too much for Gloucestershire.

All of the bowlers bowled well, with Charlotte Scarborough and Meg Simkins taking 2 wickets each, but Thea Huckle was the star performer taking 3 for 9 as Gloucestershire slumped to 77 all out.
