Devon won

by 80 runs

Devon won the toss and got off to a decent start before opening bowlers Daniel King and  pinned them back with some accurate and sometimes hostile pace bowling. Due to the extremely windy conditions, the spinners were unable to find their length and Devon profited from some short pitched bowling.  They went from 57 for 2  to 182 for 2 and a huge score looked  on the cards. However, thanks to some superb bowling by Daniel King and Marc Lezar on their return to the attack, Devon lost their last seven wickets for 16 runs.  Together, they took nine of the Devon wickets with Lewes Jenkins (on his debut) taking the other one.

After a lengthy rain break Gwent began steadily but with the score on 21 they lost two quick wickets.  However, a fine third-wicket partnership of 61  between Corey Wallace and Rhys Pescod (on his debut) put Gwent back into contention but when both departed the remaining Gwent batters were all out in short order for a rather disappointing total.

Best Performances: Daniel King 5-31, Marc Lezar 4-16, Corey Wallace 48, Rhys Pescod 33

Dorset

Dorset won

by 4 wickets

Losing the toss proved crucial as Gwent had to bat first on a damp wicket.  However, they still managed a creditable total with Ryan Cobb scoring his fifty in difficult conditions.

Batting was much easier for Dorset, as the wicket had dried out, but Gwent still made them fight for the runs and they needed all their overs to get them.  The pick of the bowlers were Lewis Jenkins and Daniel King who took all but one of the wickets between them.

Best Performances: Ryan Cobb 59, Lewis Jenkins 3-26,  Daniel King 2-29
